Mr. Ouzo takes guests on a flavour journey straight into the heart of Greece, where you can experience Greek culture through scents, tastes and cocktail traditions. Together you will mix cocktails, enjoy them and discuss cultural similarities while sharing personal stories

Chef and storyteller Carlo Vanzan, living in Estonia, takes participants on a short trip to Italy, introducing Italian culture through food and hospitality. Carlo shares experiences from Italy to England and Muhu island. Together you will cook, enjoy Italian dishes and exchange stories

An interactive workshop exploring the art of community building. You will learn how to build trust, create space for different opinions and use listening as a powerful connector. Led by Bart Cosijn, founder of the Estonian Dialogue Academy. The workshop draws inspiration from both Estonian and Dutch cultures


🇰🇷 🇰🇵 Saturday, 26 September 2026 – Open Doors Day: What Do Korean Retro Clothes Tell Us?

The vintage shop transforms into an exciting fashion house for the whole day. At 12:00 – 13:00, a workshop and discussion about Korean fashion takes place. Karina Chizh, of Jewish heritage, who lived in Korea and studies Korean fashion, introduces unique retro clothing and explains their cultural background. She also discusses similarities between Korean and Estonian people. Discounts and surprises throughout the day


🇮🇹 Sunday, 27 September 2026 Kalamaja as a Home for World News

A discussion circle led by Italian international journalist Andrea Forlani, who works in Kalamaja but travels worldwide to write articles and photograph events for international media. The conversation focuses on different cultures, similarities with Estonian culture, and key aspects of covering events through the lens of an international journalist


Programme Focus

All activities are held in English, inclusive of people with different native languages and cultural backgrounds. The programme encourages communication, cultural exchange and discovering similarities between communities.

Project Information

The event is part of Tallinn’s National Cultures Days (19–27 September 2026). Supported by the City of Tallinn.

The discussions on 24.09 and 27.09 are co-funded by the European Social Fund+, project no. 2021-2027.4.07.24-0017 “Supporting Community Activities that Promote Integration”. The project is coordinated by the Ministry of Culture, with the Estonian Folk Culture Centre as a partner.

Project goal: Increase participation of newcomers, people with diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds, and returnees in community activities.
